Delicious news: Caveys Restaurant in Manchester is bringing back their Tuesday night wine series. 5 wines and 5 small plates for $25.00 in the Northern Italian restaurant upstairs.
Here’s what you have to look forward to:
MARCH 1: The Sunny Plains of Spain
Jim Brewer of Winebow will lead us on a picaresque adventure among the delightful wines of Eric Solomon’s Portfolio.
Five Wines….Five Small Plates…..$25.00
Menu/Pairings for March 1st:
- Fish carpaccio with uni vinaigrette and piment d’espelette, Burgans, Albarino 2009
- Shellfish “Asopao”…soupy rice, Palacios, Louro do Bolo 2008
- Rosemary potatoes with piquillo peppers and aioli foam, Casa Castillo Monastrell 2009
- Slow cooked veal “estofado” with crisp polenta, Mustiquillo, Mestis 2008
- Warm goat cheese torta and grilled pear mostarda, Creta, Creta Roble 2006

Tony Reynolds of Two Fly Wines will present some of his favorites among
the heady and robust wines of Southern Australia.

Sun kissed wines from southern Italy with Michael Petrizzo of Vias Imports.
Tuesday, March 22: In Italia
Worldwide Wines will introduce us to some of their wonderful wines from Northern Italy.
Tuesday, March 29: Vive La France!
We will be treated to some of the wines of Alain Blanchon, importer of French wines.
Tuesday, April 4: California Dreamin’
California wines will be the focus of this event. Tom Taylor of Slocum and Sons
will be sharing some delightful choices from his California portfolio.
